Oakthrope Dental Practice is a private and well established dental practice in Summertown, looking for a Trainee Dental Nurse.
The practice is located in a vibrant town with good transport links and easily accessible.The practice has three surgeries for two dentists and one hygienist. The practice is spacious, modern and comfortable. It is a productive and progressive practice with a relaxed and professional approach, with patient care being our main focus.
The surgeries are well equipped and maintained well, and the latest technology is used including scanners for x-rays and intra-oral images. Our team provides comprehensive dental care, Invisalign, implants, oral surgery, tooth whitening and even Botox injections. You would be able to progress and assist with all of these procedures.
The team is small, friendly and experienced. As such you will receive excellent training and support as a dental nurse.
The perfect candidate would be enthusiastic, well presented, quick to learn, flexible, and hardworking and will be enrolled on to the Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Course to gain their Level 3 Qualification in Dental Nursing. Training will be alongside your role within the practice with coursework and online learning sessions also provided. GCSE grade C/4 or above are preferred but not essential.
As a dental nurse your primary focus is to support the dentist you are working with. This is a summary description of your duties;
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Sterilising equipment and cross infection control
- Putting patients at ease with a calm influence
- Support in carrying out procedures as outlined above
- Maintaining flow of patients through the clinic so patients are seen on time
- Computer work and printing of treatment plans
- Opening and closing surgeries that are being used
36.25hrs per week
